Being grateful is a powerful tool in living an empowered life. So many times we take for granted how many amazing things that have been given in our life. If we go around life expecting the negative we will totally miss the positive things. Could you provide yourself with a more content, peaceful life by making a daily effort in focusing on the positive things in your life?

Professor Wiseman executed a ten-year study to determine the nature of luck, In his studies he chose a equal number of lucky and unlucky people. In one study he asked participants to count the number of photographs in a newspaper. Subjects who has described themselves as "lucky" were much more likely to notice a message on page two, disguised as a half-page advertisement with large block letters: STOP COUNTING–THERE ARE 43 PHOTOGRAPHS IN THIS NEWSPAPER. Overall his studies showed that people who expect good things and consider themselves lucky have more stable life and are more happy over all. If you expect negative and struggle you are very likely to miss the good things.

I try to be in the habit of being grateful for everything, from the air I breath to the 4 day vacation I will be leaving for shortly. When I do practice gratitude my days are so much more enjoyable and I'm able to let the tiny things roll off my back. When I lay in bed at night I try to think about as many positive things that I'm grateful for as possible.
